Ethan Corriere: Fit Sleeper Frame

Ethan's riding turns crankarms, rails and rough street spots into a complete mess in the best way. He has a knack for finding technical ideas that still look heavy. The Sleeper name fits too, because the products are understated while the riding absolutely is not. Heavy street riding always looks cleaner once it has been cut into a finished video. What you do not see is the ugly run-up, the rail that is rougher than it looked, the impact through the bike and the number of times a rider has to commit before it finally works. That is why power on its own is not enough. The rider still needs control, timing and the confidence to stay with it when the setup starts fighting back. The best heavy clips feel direct rather than messy. There is no extra carrying on, just speed, commitment and a bike being put exactly where it needs to go. That mix is a big part of the appeal here. The good thing about Ethan Corriere is that the riding never feels like it was designed by a marketing meeting. It looks like somebody spending years working out what they enjoy, what suits them and how they want the bike to move. That is normally where the most memorable BMX comes from.

Fit Sleeper Frame. It is made for a rider who actually leans the bike into crankarms, rails and ugly landings. More of the setup: Fit Sleeper Peg. A frame is the part that sets the basic mood of the whole bike. A few millimetres at the rear end, a slightly different head angle or a bit more room up front can completely change how it behaves. Short and steep can feel lively. Longer and calmer can feel far better once the speed comes up. Neither direction is automatically right. The point of a signature frame is that the choices should make sense for the rider behind it. That does not mean everybody needs to copy the exact setup. It means the product has a reason to exist beyond a colourway and a name on the sticker. At Blue Groove, we would rather talk through what you ride than tell you to copy a pro bike from the tyres up. Use the linked setup as a starting point. If the geometry and feel suit you, great. If not, there is nothing wrong with keeping the bike you already know.
