Maca Perez Grasset riding BMX for Sunday Bikes

Maca Perez Grasset: Sunday Forecaster Park

Maca rides park with serious height and confidence, but there is plenty of control underneath it. She is part of a generation pushing women's BMX forward without needing it treated as a separate version of the sport. The riding speaks for itself. Transition riding looks simple until you watch someone use the whole ramp properly. Speed has to be carried instead of manufactured at the last second, the bike needs to stay composed and the rider has to know exactly where the landing is before leaving the coping. Going high is one thing. Going high with shape, control and enough speed for the next wall is another. That is why a clean transition clip can be more memorable than something packed with extra tricks. The rider is working with the ramp rather than fighting it. When that timing is right, even a familiar line looks bigger, faster and far better than it has any right to. The good thing about Maca Perez Grasset is that the riding never feels like it was designed by a marketing meeting. It looks like somebody spending years working out what they enjoy, what suits them and how they want the bike to move. That is normally where the most memorable BMX comes from.

Sunday Forecaster Park Maca Grasset Bike. The Blue Groove bike is the Matt Sunset Orange version, and the whole setup is noticeably more park-focused than the longer street-flavoured Forecaster builds elsewhere in the Sunday range. A signature complete is interesting because it has to do more than copy the look of a pro bike. It still needs to work as a complete package for the rider buying it, with sensible parts and room to progress. The useful ones give you the feel of that rider's setup without pretending every customer needs a full custom build on day one. Fit remains the first job. The right wheel size, top tube and general riding style matter more than a famous name. Once those basics line up, the signature details start to make sense instead of becoming the only reason for choosing the bike. None of that means bolting on Maca Perez Grasset's parts will suddenly give you the same riding. Sadly, BMX does not work like that. What you do get is gear shaped by somebody who knows exactly what they like. Use that as a reference, compare it with your own setup and make the call from there.
