Ty Morrow: Éclat Morrow Bars
Share
Ty has always ridden street with serious power. Big rails, hard gaps and heavy landings look normal when he is on the bike, even though they are anything but. His riding asks a lot from the front end, so a signature bar built for abuse makes perfect sense. Creative riding starts before the trick. It starts with noticing a line, shape or bit of space that everybody else rolled past. That way of looking at a spot is hard to teach and even harder to fake. The clip works because the rider has found an idea that suits them, not because the obstacle came with an obvious instruction sheet. It might be technical, fast, strange or all three at once, but it still needs control to hold together. That is why genuinely creative riders stay interesting. You are not only waiting to see which trick comes next. You are waiting to see what they have decided is rideable in the first place. For us, that is what makes Ty Morrow worth a proper feature instead of a product caption. The signature gear is part of the story, but the riding comes first. If the clips do not make you want to grab the bike and go for a roll, a long list of specifications is not going to save it.
Éclat Morrow Bars. Strong tubing, familiar feel and a design intended to deal with the kind of front-end abuse Ty made look normal. Bars are a simple-looking part that riders can be unbelievably fussy about. Rise changes the front-end height, width changes leverage and the sweep affects how the wrists and shoulders sit on the bike. Even a small change can make manuals, hops or landings feel different. That is why signature bars are usually more personal than they first appear. The shape reflects what the rider has become comfortable with after years of riding. It is still worth comparing the numbers with your current bars before changing anything. A setup that feels perfect to one rider can feel completely wrong to somebody with a different build or style. The smart way to look at this range is as a group of options, not a costume. Pick the piece that makes sense for your bike and ignore the rest if it does not. Ty Morrow arrived at this setup through years of riding. You are allowed to arrive somewhere different. Watch: "TY" - Ty Morrow / Éclat BMX Hero image: Éclat video still.
