BMX chain tensioners help keep the rear wheel pulled into a consistent position while setting chain tension, especially on race bikes and other horizontal-dropout setups where wheel alignment matters. Blue Groove’s range includes conventional axle-mounted tensioners, frame-specific dropout plates and replacement bolts for integrated tensioner systems.
Check the rear axle size first, then confirm the dropout or frame interface and available clearance around the hub hardware. The live range covers 3/8-inch, 10 mm, 14 mm, 15 mm and model-specific setups, so a tensioner that fits the axle is not automatically compatible with the frame.
