BMX headsets keep the fork turning smoothly in the frame, but the right one depends on how the frame and fork are built. Blue Groove’s range covers modern integrated headsets, traditional press-in systems, 1-inch threaded retro setups, straight 1-1/8-inch front ends and tapered 1-1/8-to-1.5-inch race configurations.

Start with the frame’s headset standard and fork-steerer size, then check bearing type, cup style and any taper or adaptor requirements. Top-cap height also changes cockpit stack, so low, conical and taller headset options can affect stem position even when the bearing standard is the same. Integrated, press-in and threaded systems are not interchangeable, so match the whole front end rather than choosing by diameter alone.
