BMX rim tape and rim strips sit between the tube and the rim bed, covering spoke holes and internal edges that can otherwise rub through a tube. Blue Groove carries options for freestyle, race and smaller-wheel setups, with different diameters and widths to suit the rim you’re running.

Match the wheel size first, then check the rim-bed width so the strip covers what it needs to without bunching up or interfering with tyre seating. If the old tape is stretched, split or wandering around inside the rim, replace it while the wheel is apart rather than waiting for another flat.
