The BSD Barrier Guard Sprocket combines a strong alloy sprocket with a replaceable nylon guard for riders who actually use their sprocket around ledges and rails.
The solid sprocket handles drivetrain loads while the guard takes the grinding abuse, helping protect both your chain and the sprocket itself.
