Bike locks are there to make an unattended bike harder to walk away with. For BMX riders, the useful balance is usually between security, portability and enough length to get the frame around a solid fixed object without carrying a massive lump of hardware everywhere.

Blue Groove’s bike-lock catalogue covers compact chain, retractable cable and U-lock styles. Choose based on how and where the bike will be left, and whenever possible lock the frame — not just a wheel — to something properly fixed in place. No compact lock makes a bike theft-proof, but the right one is a lot better than leaving it sitting there on trust.
